Meet the team

Jill handles the day to day running of the finances in the church.

Julie became a Deacon, and thus a Trustee, in July 2025. She is passionate about pastoral care of the church congregation, having known how vital that was for her when she encountered difficult circumstances in her own life.

Paul became a Deacon in March 2025, which means he is also a Trustee for our charity. He leads for us on all matters relating to Health & Safety.

Katy manages the administration of our church, and also the use, maintenance and upkeep of the buildings.

Steve joined the Deacons in March 2024, and so also serves as a Trustee. He is the Church Secretary and is involved in a number of other areas of church life, including updating this website.

John is a retired Minister from the United Reformed Church. He and his wife Jill moved to Leighton Buzzard in 2024 and quickly found their spiritual home in our church. He preaches occasionally and brings the experience of being a church minister to our leadership team. He leads our Outreach and Evangelism, working with Colin Johnson.

Colin works in the community around the church as a chaplain and evangelist

Janet cleans and maintains the church buildings.

Jenni was appointed as a Deacon in February 2025 and so also acts as a Trustee. She is our Safeguarding Trustee, and oversees the work of the finance team as our Treasurer.

Rachel joined our office team as a part time administrator in October 2025. She works in the mornings Wednesday – Friday. When not in the office she’s a Mum to two young boys and amongst other things she leads our Toddler Group.

Our previous Senior Minister, Pete Chilvers, stepped down from the role at the end of 2023. We are in the early stages of a process to appoint a new Senior Minister.
