What should I expect on Sunday mornings?
Welcome team
The ‘Welcome team’ welcomes everyone who comes, especially if you’re new.
They will show you where to go and answer any questions you have.
The service leader will also tell you how the morning will work and where the toilets are.
How long is the service?
Normal services last about 90 minutes. Children’s groups normally begin after about 30 mins and there are drinks after the service.
What is the service like?
Following a welcome, we begin with sung worship, prayer and readings from the Bible. We want this to be accessible for all ages. Song words are projected onto a screen – feel free to sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable.
When children have the opportunity to go to their growth groups at about 11am, the service continues for the adults. Shortly after this, someone will preach a sermon (talk), lasting about 30 mins from the Bible.
What will it feel like?
We want Sundays at Hockliffe Street Baptist Church to be relaxed, encouraging and uplifting,
