Missionaries we have sent from our church
Simon & Victoria, with their two children, have been working in Tanzania since 2017. Simon works as a co-ordinator with the local Assemblies of God churches whilst Victoria works on a Government supported vaccine trial.

Sarah grew up in our church and through her parents’ involvement in CAR met and subsequently married Danny, a Romanian. They now live in Carand with their two children, leading a church there. The British charity CAR supports them and Danny’s parents.

Tony is a surgeon specialising in facial surgery, Ann is a nurse. Since retiring from hospitals in the UK they have supported medical missionary work, mostly in Africa.

Colin is an Elder in our church but also fulfils a role as a community chaplain in Leighton Buzzard and Dunstable. He has piloted on behalf of the charity “Counties” the concept of Neighbourhood Chaplaincy as a way of engaging with local communities.

The BMS links British baptist churches with initiatives world-wide, sending missionaries and providing financial support to locally led evangelism, outreach and compassionate ministries.

Both Tear Fund and World Vision specialise in bringing relief to situations where people are in desperate need owing to famine, natural disasters and the effects of war.

Welcome Churches is an initiative that is helping many churches across the UK, including ours, to provide a welcome to refugees from various parts of the world, but particularly from Hong Kong and Ukraine.
